Eligibility Criteria

Soldier (General Duty)

• Educational Qualification: Class 10th/Matric Pass
• Marks: 45% aggregate and minimum 33% in each subject
• Grading System: For boards using grades, minimum D Grade (33–40%) in each subject with C2 overall grade or equivalent

Soldier (Clerk)

• Educational Qualification: 12th/Intermediate Pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science)
• Marks: 60% aggregate and minimum 50% in each subject
• Mandatory Subjects: Minimum 50% in English and Maths/Accounts/Bookkeeping

Soldier Tradesmen

• All Trades (except House Keeper & Mess Keeper): Class 10th Pass with minimum 33% in each subject
• House Keeper & Mess Keeper: Class 8th Pass with minimum 33% in each subject

Physical Standards

Male Candidates

• Height: Minimum 160 cm (Relaxation 157 cm for Eastern Himalayan Region & Indian domicile Gorkhas, Garhwalis, Ladakhis)
• Chest: Minimum 82 cm (expanded) and 77 cm (unexpanded)
• Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per Army medical standards

Female Candidates

• Height: Minimum 157 cm (Relaxation 152 cm for Eastern Himalayan Region & Indian domicile Gorkhas)
• Chest: Minimum expansion of 5 cm
• Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per Army medical standards

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 42 Years
• Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.

How to Apply

7. Married/Unmarried Certificate: Issued within last six months.
8. Relationship Certificate: For children of servicemen/ex-servicemen/war widows, issued by respective Record Office.
